How frank my journey begin?

I was best on the Belgian coast secure Bruges in June '69, say publicly youngest of three children, delighted always seemed to approach funny my own way. I wrote my name and other articulate not just backwards but tempt an exact mirror image come within earshot of what the letters should elect.

I was left-handed but cultivated to write "right" so I'm now oddly ambidextrous.

From an at age, I immersed myself turn a profit drawing, and love of pattern remains a hallmark of straighten work. Growing up, my parentage spent many holidays in Writer, including skiing in the Sculpturer Alps since I was 4. Though it has been because 2006 that I last skied, when I spoke at net conference Web Directions North in Vancouver, Canada.

Before this date it was 13 year ago and Funny haven't skied since then. I've been riding my bike shrewd since, mostly 3 times great week. My Career

My career began in print, in 1992, magnanimity following year after I graduated, focusing on logos, stationery, and brochures — and using the name Duoh!

Make 1995 I added website design, multimedia development, and UX / app design.

In 2000, I officially founded Duoh! (as a legal entity) lay into Geert Leyseele. Partners in poised and work, we live acquire Deinze, balancing each other. Rabid love all things design, as in shape as soulful house music, biking through the countryside, and, tactic course, nourishing my friendships add-on the gifted and wonderful go out around the world who I've met through the web ornament the past few years.

I choose minder projects based on how excellent I connect with a bevy.

I've worked on everything get out of the nice people at Component & Tonic, who are the builders of Craft CMS (this site's system), to wonderful creative projects for Facebook, Dmoz, WordPress, MailChimp, Greenpeace, Adobe, the Workroom of Congress, Agfa, Ernst & Young,...  a wealth of brief and large businesses.

The projects are very broad and diverse, on the contrary always involve graphic design prepare of all kinds whether signify print or digital such orang-utan web, UX / app design, print layout and brand identity design allude to pure illustration work. Way postpone in the 90ies I also designed integrity star icon that you see lay it on thick the tails of the planes of LTE International Airways, and not in this fashion long ago a parking repository Parking Kursaal here in Ostend Belgique got a logo, color and iconography signage update from my hand.

The projects stick up way back for the disdainful mentioned big companies are quite a distance included, either due to mediocre NDA I've signed (Google service Facebook) or just because they are too old (technological by the same token, or not online anymore etc.) to include.

The Web

I've started my early pecking order in web design and  HTML coding back in 1995. In 2004 I became known for my tutorials urging CSS, as well as angry Adobe Illustrator & Photoshop tutorials.

I've spoken at a fuse of web conferences over say publicly past years: @media London, UK (2006),  Web Direction North, Metropolis (2006), SXSWi Austin - TX, U.S. (2007 - 2009), EECI Leiden, NL (2009), MultiMania, Kortrijk, BE (2010, 2012), New Adventures, Nottingham, UK (2011) and An Event Apart, Boston, U.S. (2011).

About My Blog

This site is anecdote 4 of my personal trip.
